the night of Asian Games closing ceremony 2018

The title could be misleading I warn you beforehand..

It is indeed the night of Asian Games closing ceremony 2018, Indonesia happened to be the host. I am writing this while waiting for the closing ceremony. Just because the opening ceremony was a huge success, the closing too should be worth watching. Plus the guests are Korean idols, Super Junior and iKON. Super Junior was my very first exposure to the Kpop addiction *little did I know once you've fallen into the addiction, you can not undo the effect. I have been a victim of Hallyu ever since, until this very second. As for iKON, I didn't know much about the band but they do have a catchy song that I listen to sometimes when I'm driving.

Starting from browsing the internet to look up some EXO reality shows on Youtube, I ended up finding out that they came to Indonesia not only once, they came thrice. OMG I couldn't believe myself. They held 2 concerts and came for a music bank. I missed those, dang! Oh well, I am super baby EXO-L, just recently on 2018. No wonder I didn't care back then. I heard about the euphoria I guess but I was just like who the hell were they.

Brb watching the closing ceremony!

Back! Got too bored watching the nation parade *if you know what I mean

This is just for my archive about those EXO's concerts I've missed.

Their first concert in Jakarta was on September 2014 "EXO Planet #1 - The Lost Planet". At the time I must've been like "what is EXO?" I was still in China doing my clinical rotation in the hospital. On complete hiatus from Kpop wave because I was about to face my graduation exam.

The second one was on February 2016 "EXO Planet #2 - The EXO'luXion" held in ICE-BSD. Back in Indo for good already. I'm pretty sure it was held the day I went to Aeon BSD with Onik, Intan and Cy. I passed by the venue *tears. I wasn't interested at all because all their fans were teenagers while I thought I won't be a fangirl anymore ever. To be honest, when I was editing this post, as I was uploading the picture, I thought these boys were not my "cup of tea". They only became attractive to me when they're more mature which is in 2018.

The third one was Music Bank held on September 2017 in JIEXPO Kemayoran, I was aware of this one. Umm κ·Έλƒ₯...

Tho I felt it is such a pity to miss concerts like EXO's, I prolly not going to watch any of them in Indonesia. I was just too afraid that the fangirls will be too brutal during the concerts. What a conservative side of me, a noona fangirl hehe. But I did missed few concerts back in China tho. There was this Lang Lang concert held in the stadium by my apartment in Suzhou on a December which was the usual exam period for Chinese universities. I care more about my exam. Then there was this Leehom concert in Nanjing but again exam was coming. Heck why it's always near exam time. I guess concerts in China really tested every university student whether they love their idol more or their future more, haha.

Hence I really wish for an ideal job which gives me a good payment and channeling my inner creativity and allowing me to attend hype events.

bag obsession

Another things that I like more than boys are pretty dresses/clothes and bags. Yass to bags! I remember my mom used to call me 'mata tas-an' means bag-a-holic. Guess what, I still am!

My all time faves are classics. I love simple and minimalistic design that would last for a long long time.

boy crush

My blog is always about the things that I fond of. Mostly about Korean cuz I just can't drag myself away from K-wave, I am already swept along the curl. No cure, no turning back. It's almost like an addiction. Shall I call myself a hopeless romantic.

Anyway, recently these hunks caught my attention. I am not into Caucasian anymore, so bye Tom Hiddleston and the gang. I am now madly in love with these oppas.

Yoo Yeon Seok

Lee Sang Yoon

I've been eyeing these oppas since many K-dramas ago. I think I've watched few of Yoo Yeon Seok's movies and dramas, such as 'Architecture 101' and 'A Werewolf Boy'. I've always been noticing that he's handsome but the one that really caught me was his role in 'Mood of the Day'. Heard that there's another movie where he plays as Chil Bong, a handsome highschooler and baseball player, your typical popular oppa at school. Going to watch it later.

About Lee Sang Yoon.. he's kinda cute, I like him since 'Angel Eyes' but not as much as Yoo Yeon Seok. I prefer his reality show called 'Master in the House', I can see that he is as human as everyone else, smart and rational but also clueless and clumsy at the same time, another side of him that I find amusing. For his latest role in 'About Time', hmm... I enjoy watching him and Lee Sung Kyung together in the drama, super good looking couple and pretty outfits. That's why I love K-dramas so much, every aspect is pleasing to the eyes. But story wise, 'About Time' didn't come up to my expectation, visually still very beautiful tho, not gonna complain the stylist.

In conclusion, my ideal type for now is Yoo Yeon Seok. Boyfie/hubby material. I wish I could have him or someone that's like him as my future boyfie/hubby πŸ™πŸ˜œ *setting the bar way too high?

my kinda jam

Back to writing blog slash procrastinating because I am supposed to write my portfolio on atrial fibrillation. Not your ordinary portfolio since I am working in the medical field.

I was kinda bored while reading on ebook, Youtube is always where I opt to. I was going to find anything entertaining and visually pleasing so I ended up watching Red Velvet's MV Bad Boy. And I realized that my jam is kinda on the quirky side, well at least among my friends. I've always been liking Kpop songs especially the catchy ones to me, like f(x)'s then now Red Velvet's and EXO's. And by looking at my choices hence concluded I am a big fan of SM. Such a great company that gathers great talents with superior aesthetics. Kudos! But one exception is Black Pink which I also found out about this group just recently (like EXO whom I just found few months ago, where on earth was I) -- this quirky girl band is from YG.

Here I just want to post my biases among the idols I like. For me, looking at these beauties is a way to de-stress.

Anddd.. didn't know when it started, I am digging back into Chinese pop songs recently. I used to love Leehom's songs soo much, but to my surprise, I didn't enjoy it as much now. I like Jay Chou's more.

The first MV gives nostalgic feeling as I've been listening to the song since high school probably, and his new songs are also super catchy, though. He hasn't lost his magic on music. And exception for those 2 Chinese musicians I don't really care about their appearance. I like them just for their music. Unlike Korean artists which really hook me with both their songs and superb visual.

current obsessions

How can one not love anything about Korean?

I am so into Korean stuffs (not that) recently, it's been since I came back for good. I just love almost everything about Korean. I am a big fan of their beauty products and their entertainment empire. K-dramas hooked me at first sight then variety shows and super recently ("in one week") I was finally able to recognize the difference between the most talked-about new generations of hallyu (only BTS and EXO tho). I'd say it's quite an achievement for me as I was too ignorant about the hype even when my juniors were so excited to come and see "some Korean boyband" concert last year. I didn't know who was it back then. AND, I think I am converting into an EXO-L. Super late to find out about these handsome boys. Thanks to searching for Kpop workout on Youtube. I am a big noona fangirl once again. And, I am enjoying workout at home listening to catchy Kpop songs!

My next bucket list to be crossed is South Korea definitely. I am hauling K-beauty products and traveling and eating! I hope I could go with my papa and dede ~

I've been wanting to have my hair dyed so badly. I did try using a non-permanent hair dye last time but it's washed off too quick, even with sweat and it stained too. If only I am not working in the medical field, I must have had my hair dyed red.

This is the guy who mesmerized me with his chameleon hair. I am as old as his noona, but whatever ~ Soo good looking ~

Plus he came to play with my favorite 쌍λ‘₯이 πŸ’•

Out of topic, but this is the color I waaanntt so bad 😍 Will red hair suit me?

Good night!

Macups

When I decided to come back to Indo, I was still contemplating whether I should continue my path in medicine or deviate. I ended up "staying". Little did I know that choosing this path led me to few bunches that are dear to my heart. They kinda grew on me.

Meet Macups!

our very last pic taken at RSHS during OBGYN

They are younger than me (same age as my lil bro) but I don't feel like I was the oldest.. My family in RSHS during my "adaptasi". I thank God that I got to meet these guys since the beginning of my rotation. We became close instantly and dunno how I became one o Macups.

dyeing my hair red

One day I was browsing thru my instagram feeds when I found this picture of a hair dye. Out of nowhere this idea came up to me to try dyeing my hair (#instagram_is_dangerous as it may lead to countless online shopping). My hair is thin and quite the oily type that I have to wash my hair everyday if I don't want to have a bad hair day. But when I wash and hairdry it too often I will have split ends. Due to the reasons listed above, I have never had my hair dyed.

So, what made me want to try this product out?
First of all, it is a temporary hairdye. Second, it is also a hair treatment. Third, it is a Korean product and a friend of mine happened to be in Korea and opened a pre-order.

This was the hair dye / treatment that I used. April Skin Turn-Up Color Treatment (it's the temporary one, since they also have another products called April Skin Turn-Up Color Cream which are the permanent hair dye ones).

I am such a sucker for pastel colors (I mean the packaging). Another reason I bought this brand was because of the packaging. And plastic gloves and gown included, too!
Life safer!

I found some pictures on the internet showing the result.

I bought the red one, and I didn't apply much. I used like only 1/5 of the tube I think because I just used it for the lower part of my hair.

This is my normal "never been dyed" hair.

And here is how the color turned out on my unbleached hair.

Here is some pros and cons.

PROS :
- They give you plastic gloves and gown.
- The product smells soo good it smells like strawberry (dunno about other color, is it because I bought the red color one?).
- It is indeed a hair treatment because my hair felt softer (tho my hair was always on the smoother side and tend to be oily, the ends are usually drier).
- It claims that the color will only last for about 2 weeks-ish but depends on how often you wash your hair. For me it faded after one week which was good because I can't have red hair for some reason the following week (I washed my hair every other day after I had my hair dyed).

CONS :
- It smudges when your hair is wet, you can't be sweating a lot or wearing white or light colored clothes (solution for this --> wear black).

VERDICT : Good product. I loved it! Should try putting on more dye next time I use it.
